Big Hit™ Pink Hardy Hibiscus

Prolific 6 to 8-inch pink flowers with a dark pink throat bloom late summer to fall. A hybrid between American and Asian species that provides hardiness and showiness. Reaches 5 feet tall and 3 feet wide. Has very disease resistant foliage.

For new plantings
1. Dig a hole one and a half times wider than the plant's container
2. Place plant in hole, keeping the top of the root ball ground level
3. Back fill with dirt
4. Water thoroughly and then mulch around the base to conserve moisture and reduce weeds
New plantings require more frequent watering than established plants. Wind, temperature and soil are factors to consider in watering.
Feed plants in early spring and again in early fall with an all-purpose fertilizer, following label instructions.

Care Instructions
To care for a hibiscus plant, make sure it is planted in well-draining soil and receives at least six hours of sunlight daily. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering as hibiscus plants are prone to root rot. Use a fertilizer high in phosphorus to encourage blooming, and prune in early spring to encourage bushiness. Protect the plant from frost, and monitor for pests such as spider mites and aphids. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers. With proper care, a hibiscus plant can thrive and produce beautiful, vibrant blooms.
